Quick & Easy SHORTCUT Weeknight Barbeque Chicken
Every now and then, i get a bonafide craving for gooey, messy barbeque chicken. I don't make it that often because it's messy . . . ehrrr clean up is messy. But I think that I've found a way to have the original, but in a quick, easy, weeknight kinda ease!
This meal is budget friendly too! The chicken legs were $0.99/lb and the corn on the cob were $0.20/each! That brought this meal total (with sauce) to $4.00 for dinner and lunch for two!! I made enough for lunch leftovers.
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken legs (adjust for your family)
bottled barbeque sauce of your choice
Instructions:
Place chicken legs in a deep saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until you get a foam on the top. Remove from water and place in a large bowl, cover with barbeque sauce and allow to marinade while you heat the grill or broiler. If broiling, cover a shallow pan or tray with foil. Cook just until each side darkens and flip. Voila! Serve hot with lots of napkins!
